Location A gap in the block between Radlická and Kováků streets Assignment The completion of Palác Křižík as an office building with a parterre including shops and public arcade, development project tailored to the renter´s requirements. Architecture The building respects the street front and the height of surrounding development. The arcade rises towards Kováků street where a parallel light tunnel and entrance hall follow the same incline. The horizontal steps of the reception area and conference rooms emerge from the inclined concrete floor, the space is segmented by two atriums serving as air outlets. The interior of the block is dominated by a black cuboid of the staircase and elevators, and is connected to office wings by glazed bridges. Offices are mostly open-plan. The original colouring of concrete ceilings and galvanized metal floors is complemented by white sanitary unit and furniture – a different colour scheme is used on every floor and concentrated around relaxation cells. Employees enjoy free access to roof gardens with climbing walls and seating areas, as well as a gym in the basement. The underground section emulates the incline of the entrance hall. Three levels of spiral parking with a half-ramp under the service floor. Fully glazed facades with sliding exterior sunscreens from expanded metal, with operable shutters for natural ventilation, except for the Radlická street facade. The building classified as BREEAM Excellent.
